At Hostel Las Natalias we believe in spurring the type of tourism that, when implemented conscientiously and intentionally, will provide economic opportunities for the region while promoting the protection of natural resources and local culture.

Open since January 2012, the hostel is the dream of Nathaniel Criado Mack, built to share a small piece of Patagonian paradise with travelers and other good people.

NATHANIEL HAS WORKED AS A RIVER OUTDOOR GUIDE IN FUTALEUFU SINCE 2004. IN 2012, HE OPENED HOSTEL LAS NATALIAS WHICH HAS ALLOWED HIM TO SHARE HIS LOVE FOR THE FUTALEUFU VALLEY WITH VISITORS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD. NATHANIEL CONTINUES TO GUIDE AND SAFETY KAYAK ON THE FUTALEUFU RIVER, TEACH KAYAKING ON THE ESPOLON RIVER, AND INFUSE THE HOSTEL WITH BUENA ONDA ON A DAILY BASIS. IF YOU GET A CHANCE, ASK HIM THE STORY OF HIS CHANI’S LEG AMPUTATION. HE’S ALSO A GOOD STORYTELLER.
